This was a special–and unusual–episode of Rebooting the News. Dave Winer and Jay Rosen were scheduled to do a live version of the show at the Online News Association conference in San Francisco, but, sadly, Dave’s father died the night before. He had to return to New York to attend to family matters. So Jay did the show on his own with a live audience of 35 people. He decided to ask anyone who raised his or her hand to describe “an element of the rebooted system of news,” and that became Rebooting the News #27.
